STAR Event Recap

On October 31st, WPCCA attended the Safety Training Awards Recognition (STAR) Event hosted by Local Unions 1399, 1036, and 52.  Over 1,000 painters (>500 Union paint members) and their guests came out to enjoy a day packed with delicious food, raffles, and socializing with their fellow Union members. This year’s STAR Event was greatly anticipated with double the prizes due to the event being canceled last year in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Union and management showed their appreciation to their commercial and industrial painters with well-earned prizes that were raffled off to many lucky winners. To demonstrate our support, WPCCA donated six (6) $500 checks that were included in the raffles.

We are proud to witness the number of painters that commit themselves to continued education and training consistently grow. On behalf of our contractors, we express much gratitude to our workforce for their tireless labor and commitment to training and safety.

Congratulations to our WPCCA prize winners – Manuel Reyes, Raymond Navarro, Hector Garcia, Martin Cruz, Danny Espinoza, Alberto Valdez!
